How it works
Donating wood
- Fill out the donate form with the type of wood, a rough amount, and where it is.
- We reply to set a pickup or drop-off. Leave nails pulled if you can; tell us if you cannot.
- Usable pieces are sorted. What cannot be reused is not passed on.
Requesting wood
- Tell us what you need and what you plan to build or repair.
- We match you when similar lumber is on hand and contact you.
- Wood is free. Bring a way to haul it, or say if you need help loading.
Questions
- Is the wood free?
- Yes. We do not charge for lumber we give out. Donors are not paid either.
- Do you pick up?
- Often, when the load is usable and the location works. Tell us the address and access notes on the form.
- What condition does it need to be in?
- Sound enough to build with. Soft rot, broken boards, and mixed trash are not useful.
- Can you build the fence for me?
- No. We supply wood. Installation is up to you or a contractor you hire.
- Where do you serve?
- Oregon first, and farther when a donation or request is practical to reach.
